Take a break and set off for a trip
A popular place to visit in autumn is Mount Tarnica, the highest peak of the Bieszczady (1346 m). Hundreds of tourists come here every year. From the summit, you can admire a view towards other mountain peaks, located not only in Poland, but also in Ukraine. The truly picturesque trail leading to the top of Tarnica goes through forests and across mountain meadows.
Another destination is Mount Bukowe Berdo (1311 m). The hiking trail is particularly popular in autumn. It is an excellent route for beginners or families with children. For those who prefer less crowded routes, a good option may be the over 30-kilometre long trail from Komańcza to Cisna. You will need a whole day to cover the entire distance. The route is rather demanding and leads mostly through a wild forest, so it is recommended to those who have some experience in hiking.

You should, however, check the weather forecast before you set off. You must also take thermo-active clothing and a thermos of tea. It is also important to have suitable footwear, as the paths can sometimes be slippery and muddy.
- During the low season, when there are fewer tourists along the trails, you will pay less for various services. You can more easily book accommodation at a good price, even at short notice. The same applies to restaurants where prices are considerably lower.
