At a meeting point of international routes, along the New Silk Road, in Poland near the border with Slovakia and Ukraine, you will find a beautiful region of Podkarpackie, with mountains in the south, and a primeval forest in the north. The open spaces and the majesty of nature give you a sense of freedom, and the unique landmarks reflect the multicultural heritage of this land. This is a place where you can catch a second breath and experience unforgettable emotions.

People here are very hospitable and they love to share the treasures of the Subcarpathian region. The Bieszczady and the Low Beskid Mountains, the Sandomierz Forest and the Roztocze highland are fascinating for their wildlife.

The beautiful scenery provides a wonderful backdrop for adventures along hiking, sailing and cycling routes. Those into historical landmarks can admire here old churches as well as magnificent aristocratic residences. The natural resources of this area include  mineral waters, and the renowned spa towns and villages offer excellent healing treatments. The industrial history of this area started with the world's first oil drills built here in the latter half of the 1800s.

Today, the Podkarpackie is at the heart of the Polish Aviation Valley, whereas the region's capital, Rzeszów, has transformed into a large industrial centre. The most convenient way to get here is by plane. The international airport in Jasionka near Rzeszów operates daily flights to Warsaw and other European cities. You can also come to the Podkarpackie region via the A4 motorway or by a fast train.

The region has railway connections with Kyiv and Lviv, as well as Berlin and Vienna. It is linked to the northern regions of Poland not only by expressways, but also by the scenic Green Velo cycling route. So, come here, to get glassware made in Krosno, or buy a wicker basket in Rudnik nad Sanem, or a bottle of good wine from one of the 160 wineries, or to make a wish at the Bieszczady Dark Sky Park. This is where the stars wink at travellers in the most beautiful way.
