The scenic cableway in Solina is a special attraction, not only because of its appeal to tourists but also for its technological features. It is a unique way to see Lake Solina and the landscapes around it. You can also take the lift to reach the Mysterious Solina Theme Park where you can explore the legends of the Bieszczady mountains.

Owing to the unique climate, scenery and wildlife, the Bieszczady Mountains have always attracted tourists. Now you can see the area from a different perspective if you take a trip in the new gondola lift. Launched in 2022, it is the most modern facility of this kind in Poland. At the highest location the gondola travels over 100 metres above the ground. In one of the stations passengers can also view fascinating multimedia expositions.

Attractions in PKL Solina tourist centre

Before you start the trip at the Plasza station, you can see the exposition on display there. You can learn the fascinating facts related to the engineering design of the cableway, such as the number and the height of the supporting structures. You can also find out here about the history of the Solina dam, which is part of an operating hydroelectric power plant. The initial station has other multimedia attractions so visitors of all ages can have a good time here while waiting for the lift.

 

Finally, you get into the gondola to have the exciting and unforgettable trip to Mount Jawor. Travelling the length of 1.5 kilometres high above the ground visitors can admire the spectacular panorama of the Bieszczady Mountains, and take a good look at the massive dam and Lake Solina. Certainly, more exciting adventures wait for tourists getting off the gondola on Mount Jawor.

 

Here you can go to the top of the 55 metre tall Scenic Tower, to get an even more impressive view towards the distant mountains and the valleys nearby. You can also stroll along the glass walkway if you feel brave enough for this thrilling experience. In the scenic cafe you can take a break and enjoy delicious coffee and desserts, while admiring the panorama of this enchanting area. If you feel hungry, you can also stop by Karczma Jawor with its interior design inspired by the regional architecture. On the menu you will find such exotic-sounding names as proziaki, fuczki, and baked knysze – something very special for those who like to explore local flavours during their trips.

 

Located next to Karczma Jawor, the Theme Park presents the fascinating stories and legends connected with the Bieszczady.

Mysterious Solina Theme Park – in the land of Biesy and Czady

The Mysterious Solina Theme Park is situated on the slope of Mount Jawor. You can get there by gondola lift from the Plasza station. It is located right next to the Karczma Jawor, and it covers an area of over 4.6 hectares. You will find here lots of fun activities for families with children.

 

From the start you will be able to explore the old tales and legends connected with the Bieszczady and you will be taken to the mysterious world inhabited by the evil fiends Biesy and the good spirits Czady.

 

By participating in the fun activities children will get to know the legends, fairy tales and the history of the whole region. They will find out where the name of the Bieszczady Mountains comes from and what mythical characters used to live amidst these green hills.

The young visitors will be taken to a fascinating settlement of real giants and follow a maze where they can discover the secrets of the land. They can go sliding in the company of the fun-loving Czady, to see if they are as quick and agile as the good sprits of these mountains. They can also check their skills by following a fitness track. Visitors to the Mystery Land can also get souvenirs in the shop and try the delicious dishes on the menu in the restaurant located within the park.
