Rzeszów University of Technology
This is the oldest and largest technical university in south-eastern Poland. It was established on 1 October 1974, but its origins go back to 1951, when the Night School of Engineering was launched. It is the only Polish university that provides training to pilots for civil aviation. Rzeszów University of Technology currently has seven faculties offering more than twenty first and second degree programs, including such forward-looking courses as Hydrogen Technologies and Clean Energy. As an important research centre, the school organises post-graduate studies, conducts research projects and cooperates closely with administrative entities and the business community of the region. The impact of the University is particularly reflected by the advancement in aerospace and IT industries, two of the fastest growing sectors of the region’s economy.

University of Rzeszów
Being a key academic institution in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship, the University provides education in the humanities, natural sciences and medical sciences. It comprises four colleges which offer first and second degree courses as well as doctoral programmes. The courses of study include law, philology, arts, economics, mathematics, computer science, graphic design and medicine. Owing to its wide range of operations as well as the diverse research projects conducted by the academic community, the University cooperates with entities representing various sector’s of the region’s economy. The role of the Rzeszów University has been recognised on many occasions: the title of Doctor Honoris Causa has been awarded to numerous members of the academic staff; some unique projects have been placed on the Polish Map of Research Infrastructure; and the most talented students have received scholarships annually awarded by the Minister of National Education.

University of Information Technology and Management in Rzeszów
The university provides education to students coming here from all over the world. Owing to the English-language study programs and the cooperation of the school with various entities abroad, it has become an international culture centre promoting partnership between universities from many countries. It currently has four colleges - the College of Management, the College of Applied Computer Science, the College of Mass Media and Social Communication and the College of Medical Sciences - fully matching the needs of the labour market. Supporting the aviation industry, the school offers graduate courses and specialisations such as Aviation Management and General Aviation. The close cooperation with the IT community is reflected by the wide range of IT and graphic design courses on offer, also in English. Many students choose to specialize in such areas as nutritional sciences or cosmetology. The teaching staff focuses on providing practical training to the students in order to prepare them for their future careers. The university engages in a wide range of projects jointly with the business community. Additional activities are carried out by the Centre for Implementation-related Services and the Tourism and Leisure Centre located at the university campus in Kielnarowa near Rzeszów.

WSPIA University of Rzeszów
This is the oldest non-public university in the Podkarpackie region. It provides education in the following courses of study: administration, management, law, internal security and criminology. It also offers postgraduate studies and doctoral seminars. The school applies novel teaching methods enabling students to follow their individual academic paths and well-designed curricula matching their individual expectations. Education of future lawyers and professionals working in the uniformed services is significantly supported by the excellent technological facilities at the university, such as the state-of-the-art Centre of Forensic Science, Criminology and Forensic Medicine. WSPiA University also attaches great importance to the education of younger people; it promotes awareness and the knowledge of law and security by organising competitions for high school students.
